Just back from holiday in County Cork and noted the following over the weekend of August 19/20

87.50 Klub FM
87.80 True FM
104.90 DHR FM
106.70 Radio Caroline Cork

I assume the latter as it was a relay of Radio Caroline from the UK.

I didn't hear Cityview as I was unsure which frequency they used these days.

True FM had a big signal in the city and out as far as East Cork where I was staying.

Sorry meant to do a scan of irish stations heard here but too busy this week. managed a bit of time this am and UCB 87.6 coming in well 95.6\ SE radio, LMFM 95.8 KCLR lots more but did not have time

Mark
The UCB relay on 87.6 may well still be the one from the Wicklow Mountains. If so that transmitter has been active for years!

True FM and Klub FM have both got fairly strong signals and go out a good way. Cityview is on 97.6 at certain times of the afternoon/evening. Radio Caroline relays anything and everything, but most of the time it's a relay of Radio Caroline From the UK, they occasionally have their own programmes as well. The UCB relay that was on 87.6 from the Wicklow Mountains has been off for quite a while I'm fairly sure.

a new station in dublin called connect fm. Playing 80s music i believe. Was on 105.2 yesterday and has moved to 101.2 . No further updates on space fm and the others around the country are working away as normal.

Kiss Fm in West Dublin has moved from 101.4 to 101.5 Connect Fm is on 101.2 so there are two stations between Today Fm. Space on 99.5 Trax on 107.1 Phever on 91.6 and Energy on 1395Am.

Dublin today:
91.6 Phever
99.5 Space FM
107.1 Trax
The thing that was on 91.9 hasn't been on air the last few days. Connect FM disappeared from 101.2 earlier today. There is a very strong silent carrier on 93.2FM.

Hiya. Is the proposed return of the well known station that was hinted at earlier in the year now dead in the water?

Apparently space fm are off for maintenence according to their facebook. They seem to have no working stream either for the last while.

It would seem that way as equipment has been sold down the country, Connect on 101.2 Fm this morning.

they seem to be chopping and changing frequencies a lot. 105.2 would have been ideal for them but i think walk in my shoes radio is back on soon on another temporary licence and 105.2 is the likely frequency apparently.

Yes that's correct that have been allocated 105.2 Dublin, also XMAS due on late November.

Then surely 94.3 is free if 105.2 is now being used as the main temp frequency for Dublin-wide stations these days? Either way, 101.2 in my opinion is better than 93.2, coming out of Dublin the other day Connect was being hammered by another station (fairly sure it was RnaG.)

I'm not sure 101.2 would be the best frequency either, it being in the middle of today fm.

The station on 87.5FM in Cork, formerly Klub FM, has rebranded to Kiss90s, playing 90's music.

99.5 is still being used by Space FM most likely, wasn't it said that they were only off for maintenance?
