What's the story with 99.5? A station with RDS of 'Space FM' was reportedly heard on Friday, however when I was in Dublin during the weekend the state of affairs was the same as it has been the last two or three weeks: dance music with no RDS and no ID's.

I can confirm the station broadcasting is definitely called space fm, i have no more details however.
Apparently an ident of base fm was heard though.

Ironically, Base FM was Heat FM's original name.

Out of interest what type of dance music was 99.5 playing when you heard it last weekend?

It sounded a little like Heat's playlist (can't be sure though). Very random mix of dance with no particular emphasis on any year, decade or genre, it may've been on a loop or the playlist very small, as I heard one or two tracks played both last weekend and the weekend before.

The station on 99.5 seems to be having a bit of an identity crisis. Even the FB page is labeled as "Baseline FM" but the latest message refers to "Space FM".

During the week the playlist changed, and is now thankfully also a proper MPX feed into the transmitter. Signal coverage appears to indicate it is almost certainly the same site that Heat were using. Doesn't seem quite as strong though.

found that yesterday. Rather annoying there seems to be no link to listen in a media player instead.

The online stream is NOT what is broadcast on FM. They are from different sources.

Thanks for that. Out of interest how were you able to get that url? I did try saving the page and going through the code to find it but had no luck.

Saw that same URL on their FB page I believe.
New station by the way (Cork): 87.8 - True Radio.

It was the Baseline FM page I was referring to also, don't know if the URL I saw was the same, but looks similar enough.
Yes I heard True Radio on FM, RDS TRUE.

Flip your browser (I use Chrome) into developer mode (F12 key) - then you can capture the network traffic and see where the stream is coming from. That's how I do it anyways.

Rather strange one this Baseline FM, on 99.5 today no rds, just dance music and an ident of 'coming soon, Baseline FM Dublin' and the stream given here is playing the same type of music but a separate playlist and with the exact same ident.
