Decent move by Kiss. So Phever have moved from 91.6 to 91.3?

The main stations in Dubin at the moment remain unchanged. No sign of any new station such as one mentioned in this thread. In addition, Spektrum do not appear to have any immediate plans for FM broadcasts - they will launch (re-re-launch?) online only this weekend.

Chill FM - 87.6 - irregular broadcasting, signal doesn't cover entire city.
Phever - 91.6 - mostly live, very strong signal.
Heat - 99.5 - very low audio, only occasional live shows, regularly off air.
Trax - 107.1 - automated, reasonable coverage of city.

It seems just to be a floating idea, but by the looks of it they haven't got it sorted yet.

Just like those Spectrum radio lads… “coming soon to FM” messages for months. Now they have given up. Best off saying nothing because so many things can go wrong in the run up to going on FM.

I am pretty sure it's Spektrum FM we're all referring to.

I don't believe so as according to the poster who first mentioned it, it is a well known station returning rather then a station being new to air.

The station was due on air June bank holiday weekend, unfortunately one of the people involved pulled out, I will inform you if the situation changes.

thanks for the update. Hopefully things will look up for the operation and it will get on air eventually. We could do with another station.

I'm thinking possibly moving studio rather then closed. They were on a blank carrier yesterday at least and the stream is still on but only works for a couple of seconds. Yet they have dismantled the studio.

the stream is not (strictly speaking) active. it's rather strange in that it plays about 15-20 seconds of the same song each time you turn it on before switching to buffering (at least, that's what happens on TuneIn.) It's possible they're moving studio, but would they have dismantled everything if so?

It’s a shame to see it die a horrible slow death. It would have taken years to build up a good following and a name, but a lack of effort/money/ability in recent months seems to have killed all that off.

Maybe they’ll return with a new studio. I suspect this may be the case, and that’s why the transmitter remains on. The stream looping on a cache can sometimes happen if there is a problem with the source, so I wouldn’t read too much into that.

Dublin on Saturday:
87.6 Chill FM
91.6 Phever
99.5 Heat (no RDS)
107.1 Trax
1395 Energy
There was no audio on Heat's stream at the time, and there has been none since. Signal seemed about as strong as ever on FM, though.

Their stream has been down for a few days now. No updates on the facebook either so i assume they are still on the move and should be back to normal soon.

The audio on 99.5 is terrible. It sounds like they have plugged a normal line out signal into the transmitter. It’s way too loud, distorting and does not have stereo or RDS. They should immediately return this to a blank carrier or fix it. They will attract unwanted attention otherwise.
