Running direct it wasn't from one of those sproggy "The lurgy - CZH-7C" boxes you have posted about before???james_wilson16 wrote:Wish I had a warning note or something before my door went through lol. Seems Drake has had a few correspondence from OFCOM.

No mate, had Veronica PLL/30w Power Amp, all checked by local engineer to be nice and clean. Was direct, though they would have left us if it hadn't been for the stupid frequency of 108 we chose, but it went the furthest, most clearest expecially down here.

Hello everyone.
Thanks for all the messages of support. Radio Drake has already shut down. However we have a much bigger project due to start very soon. We are proud to announce that a legendary radio station will soon be making a comeback in the Plymouth area. It will be on FM and the Internet. Radio Drake's members are all involved. Keep checking on this thread for future updates

I am very pleased to announce that as from today, after a 6 year abscence, Plymouth Sound Radio is back on the air. Utilising new equipment and resources from the now defunct Radio Drake. Plymouth Sound is test transmitting on the Internet via the Yourmuze and Tunein app and via our new website wwe.plymouthsound.weebly.com. We are also broadcasting in the Plymouth area on 97.3FM in stereo. Broadcasting as close as possible to the original fm frequency of the past Plymouth Sound. Some of the old Plymouth Sound staff are involved along with the old Drake staff. All the old Plymouth Sound jingles are back too! For more info email [email protected] for more info. Or contact us via the website.

Re: Radio Drake (Pirate station in Plymouth uk)
A knock on the door would be an understatement, bloody battering ram being swung by feds was a more realistic picture, after phoning me via the studio number and giving me 10 seconds to get open the door, not informing me that turning the rig off means it would go through anyway.
We lasted a long time on 1w, but a matter of around 7/8 months on the 30w rig.
Glad to see you have put Plymouth Sound back on the map, I wish you all the success and hopefully the original lot can put their skills into practice to avoid the dreaded COM

Still getting a stream on the old Radio Drake feed - albeit quiet and lifeless audio.
