am I right in thinking it was baffled and operator (UKG FAME)thatstarted essence many moons ago...

Far as I know it was a garage DJ called Fraudster who started it, he's still around. Operator was prob involved I don't know the ins and outs but all I know is it was a wicked station and if it makes a full comeback on FM I'd actually switch the radio on for first time since they came off about.... 9/10 years ago. I have scanned around for other pirate activity, there was one or two but didnt last long, this one however kept going and served us well down this way.
