Just thinking back.....
How good was Freeze Fm 92.7 and then their sister station Vybe on 99.7.
Great line up, got out miles and really was really professional, shame they didn't go down the Rinse route and try for legal status.

Vybe was on 99.5.
Freeze were good in their day with some good shows and absolutely great coverage towards the end.

I remember them playing that smashing glass sound effect on Freeze, you know, the one that is played every 7 seconds on 1Xtra...

I think Ofcom decided enough was enough when they realised what sort of money they was making from the station and they also caused interference to a legal station in St Albans on 92.6.
I've heard that ofcom had them under surveillance for quite some time filming the management at events they were putting on and setting up stings with the police at the transmitter site eventually most of them were caught and given asbo's by that time some one else had jumped on 92.7

Sorry yes they were 99.5 sorry, well remembered.
Their signal was huge as people have said, decent set up and always crystal clear where ever you are in town.

Yep. Turned up to nearly every event and took pictures and waited on the block oppo on several occasions.
Their photo collection was great in the interview room.
'Thats not me'!!
Fucking bent me over hard in the court room. The soreness has just about stopped! Lol
