Yes I’m sure that’s for Wimbledon only though and would not effect a station that far away. I’m sure that’s only 1-5w also
I'll do a short video on the ic-r3 with max attenuation (4)

Yes a few years ago I heard it near luton it's the clearest frequency on the dial no interference maybe it's 10-25w but i'm sure it was 5w before

It's not 1 to 5w, more like 20 to 25w.

That's correct, it's not just for Wimbledon. (87.7MHz)

....It's intended to cover a 5 mile radius of the surrounding Wimbledon area with a good signal.

They do have extra coverage on 96.3 and 97.8 using lower power though, which only really reaches around Wimbledon.

Maybe one of the local stations on 99.6 or 99.8 was on or just white noise and too strong in Barking, that's all I can think of if you received 99.7 further out....

Yes that's the case as 99.8 are near enough to barking so you wouldn't get 99.7 I used to get flex from m25 to near southend solid often locking but can't get this new station at all past Brentwood there also weaker in nw then flex I think there just covering south well.

Intent crystal clear tonight even with 99.6 being on 👍
Dont know how much more you can fit in the 99-100 only 99.1 and 99.2 left

The Wimbledon 87.7MHz rig is a rather tatty SBS 25W effort in a flight case, with an NRG Pro IV stereo coder, "Pira" RDS generator and stereo limiter in a 2U high 19" case beneath the rig. This same rig has been used for many years all over the country!
