I think erotic was edmington / walthamstow way, i knew of a soundz fm that was in basildon . Freedom fm was dagenham / rainham and also conflict was dagenham.
I thought flava was from the same area as some of the same djs was on there.
Also temptation fm was coming out off the gascoigne estate as the flat i was staying in looked directly into the studio ( the living room ) 😂😂

Brilliant. Any more stories like this?! There's too many underground pirate tales that'll never see the light of day if you ask me!!!

"All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain."

Hats off to DJ Clockwork for going in to town writing up a few of his old escapades. Makes for a good read!! And inspirational stuff to the new generation which won't exist without a kick up the arse from the old headz!!!

Very true back in the day ruud was a very wanted station dti went all out to shut them down ie dti would hit them within an hr of them coming on and that's a known fact

Didn't they use the Labyrinth Club in Dalston when it closed down? Syrus was writing a memoire on Facebook ages ago about the trouble they had with location, rig thieves and the history of the station. I knew a few of them, as they used to play live (and occasionally broadcast) from the squat parties in London on friends sound systems.

Was Addiction a drum and bass station? I remember some people I knew advertising a slot they had on it at squat parties, then suddenly Origin FM seemed to take that frequency around that time.

When I was on Risk it was in flats at the bottom of the market, about another 3 pirates came out of the death of Risk FM due to Choice taking 107.1
