Stations playing over 15 mins of ads.

Stations playing over 15 mins of ads every 2 hours inbetween shows, yeah been going on since way back, but what's people's opinion on this ??? What listener wants to sitlisten to 9,10 adverts about events they will never go to, yeah the station is making £££ from ads, but it kills the station in my eyes, soon as a station comes on with long adverts most people prob turn it off or turn it over. Can name a few stations that take the piss, plus a dj is paying subs for that.

Personally, if the adverts are more than 15 mins long then i incorporate them into the show.
Ie : I'll drop a quick 2 min advert after 30mins of music.
I find it gives me the spare time to have a sneeky ciggy off camera.

I remember a few years back a certain big london station would play about 45 minutes of ads, im sure other people will remember this.

Sharky listened your shows a few times on sun morning very professional actually sound like you should be on radio 1, but why not just stick a 7,8 min long track on then go for 1 ? haha or does it take slightly longer ? Keep up the good work though fella. Fuze what station ? Im just saying this bcos maybe sometimes the management dont notice as much as the listeners do

i think they still do a good amount of adds. haven't listened in a bit though so can't confirm.

if its a show i'm enjoying and the adds will be left until the end for me thats a good thing, no interuptians. in saying that i can see why it might make people switch off.

Was never as bad as this whenever I listened to any pirates, one local to me that used to be on only ever played ads longer than 10 mins if the DJ for next set was running late.
