Is it legal to use band below 87.5?

Everything technical about radio can be discussed here, whether it's transmitting or receiving. Guides, charts, diagrams, etc. are all welcome.

For testing just to see how far a signal can get out from your location on say up to 50 watts?

Forgive me for being daft, 87.5 - 108mhz isn't legal to use by any of us.
Is that why we are all here perhaps?
