Why are mobile radio stations Not more common?

Everything technical about radio can be discussed here, whether it's transmitting or receiving. Guides, charts, diagrams, etc. are all welcome.

It was made to order, think it's just a 4m band (70MHz) magmount antenna that is cut shorter for 87.5 - 108MHZ, it is fully adjustable to your frequency via a small screw and you just slide it further out or in accordingly.

Give these guys a call, bought it about 11 year ago so probably gone up a little in price. Was about 15-20 quid
